Our Great Blue Heron has returned! (taken last year on April 14th, what a difference a year makes)
Although the calendar claims spring arrived on March 20th, there really weren’t many signs of its return, until yesterday. I know it is now officially spring, because the Great Blue Herons returned to our pond. I wish I could describe the absolute bliss I feel when I see those majestic birds walking around.
Finally, it has been a very long winter.

agreed re winter! It seems so petty to complain about the weather, but really, this winter was so gray, cold, and depressing. It still looks like November here in the Hudson Valley.
I don’t normally complain about winter since we go to warm places during the winter. But we’ve been back since 1/8/14 from our warm weather travels and even I have my limits 🙂
